Symptom – CCTV camera off
Solution
1. Check NVR is plugged in and turned on 2. Check all cables are plugged into the back of the NVR and all the lights on each port are o 3. Locate the camera and check for any obvious signs of damage or tampering 4. Identify if the site has had any power cuts or surges before camera went off
Symptom – CCTV Showing as offline on mobile app
Solution
1. Check the NVR still has a connection to the router via an Ethernet cable and the router is turned on. 2. Check you do not have a new router. 3. Identify if the site has had any power cuts or surges. 4. If using home plugs for internet connection, make sure the TP link plugs both have 3 lights on the 5. Check your static IP address has not changed (use www.whatsmyip.com for this) and make sure the application has the same settings 6.Check the app does not need updating in the app or play store
